Marleen says-

We left Fort Nelson this morning at about 8:30 after a great continental breakfast at the Super 8. We took Chelsea’s advice and decided to pass up Dawson Creek since we will go through there on the way back home. Instead we changed highways right before Fort St. John and headed down highway 29 to Chetwynd. We are definitely into a different environment. Gone is the ruggedness and instead we drove through lush green areas that looked more like being in farming country. I don’t really think there is much farming down around here though. We decided not to stay at Chetwynd because we arrive there too early to quit for the day. So we drove on to Mackenzie. We left the highway and traveled 18 miles in and when we arrived it looked like a small town on a Sunday night. We did find the Subway open so we had dinner and now we are checked into a hotel for the night. The girls are watching a movie on t.v. and Wanda and I are going to plot out our plan for tomorrow. We are planning on posting Wanda’s story of her adventure at Watson Lake so stay tuned for that!
